Our Vision

At Mission Guatemala our vision is to bring the lost to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.  The Bible says in  Mark 2:17 When Jesus heard it, he said to them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. 

In Guatemala the largest and most traditional Maya populations are in the western highlands.  These indigenous people practice various forms of divination. Divinatory techniques include the throwing and counting of seeds, crystals, and beans, and in the past also - apart from the count - gazing in a magical mirror (scrying), and reading the various sorts of signs (auguries) given by birds; 

The bondage in Guatemala is great but our God is greater.  Together we can set these people free through the preaching of the gospel.  And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. Matthew 9:35

Together we can take the gospel forward to those who haven't heard in Guatemala. What an awesome day in which we live. With the technology at our fingertips to communicate almost instantly worldwide there has never been a time where the gospel can go out so thoroughly and so quickly. However there are still tribal groups, indigenous people around the world who have no access to modern technology. Many of these people are located in Guatemala, they are the Mayan Indians, an ancient people who are in desperate need of the saving grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. Together we can reach them. Now is the time!
